Re: Dusty screen Here's my experience with a dusty i3 display. It doesn't fix your problem but tells you what you're dealing with. The dust is most likely coming in from around all the pannel buttons that surround the display. Control buttons are not sealed off from the innerds. Each time you use the buttons they dump whatever dust has acumulated around them into the interior. On some i3's there is a foam rubber seal between the display and the case. Others don't have the seal. On my i3, the good old California ozone eroded the seal and I ended up with dust on my screen. The backlight on my display had recently become so dim that I had the backlight rebuilt by Telesisgear. Being a little handy, I did the disembowelment and replacement myself. The bad news is that you have to remove almost everything else from the case before you get down to the display to either clean or replace it. While I was at it I used a small computer vac to clean house. It was surprising how much dust had acumulated inside. I supose a good practice would be to keep the keyboard covered and/or occasionally vacume the control buttons. Ronwiz
